Mid-American Machine to sell Brazilian firm's tire, rubber machinery lines | Rubber News

Oct 16, 2024

LE ROY, Kan.—Mid-American Machine & Equipment Inc. has reached agreement with a Brazilian firm that will bring new rubber equipment offerings to the North American market.

Le Roy-based Mid-American Machine has entered into a strategic partnership with Mecanica Bonfanti S.A. for Mid-American to represent the Brazilian machinery maker's range of new tire and rubber machinery in this region.

Bonfanti has been serving the tire and rubber industry for more than 50 years, concentrating on the South American market, according to a news release from Mid-American Machine, a unit of Industrial Service Solutions Co.

Bonfanti's product line includes mixers, hoppers, mills, batch-offs, extruders and other products, with its range of offerings designed to supply a comprehensive line to meet the needs of the tire and rubber sectors.

Mid-American Machine is known for its rebuild capabilities, and the deal with Bonfanti builds on a long-term relationship between the two machinery firms.

"Mid-American Machine and Bonfanti have been working together in the North American market for years," Eric Glaze, general manager of Mid-American Machine, said in a statement. "Formalizing this partnership and representing their complete line of machinery was a natural development we've been working on over the course of the last year."

Mid-American said that along with its rebuild services, offering Bonfanti's equipment line allows it to give competitive alternatives to customers in the new equipment sector.

"For years, our customers have been appealing for a market alternative for new equipment," Glaze said. "We've worked with and seen firsthand the quality that Bonfanti brings to the table."

Bonfanti officials said formalizing its relationship with Mid-American Machine will boost its presence in North America. As part of the deal, the field service and parts departments of Mid-American Machine also will support the Bonfanti equipment line.

"This partnership allows us to bring our innovative and high-quality equipment to the North American market more effectively," Bonfanti CEO Roseana Simioni said in a statement. "We have great confidence in Mid-American Machine's ability to represent our brand and support our customers with the highest level of service."
